I recently have had a stroke and lost the use of my left side, my question is if its possible to take care of and maintain the litter robot 4 with just my right arm?
Hello Greg, sorry to hear that you went through that. You could use the Litter-Robot with just one arm, but you may run into some issues with deep cleaning, since it requires removing the entire globe to get underneath and make sure everything's clean. Sensor issues and replacements will also be more tricky. However, the daily functioning and maintenance of the LR4 should be doable with just the right side of your body. Hope this helps.

Hello Greg! Sincere apologies for the late reply. I tried using the Litter-Robot 4 single-handedly today, and all functionalities were available to me with one side of the body. A few notes:
- When filling the litter bed, you'll want to use a large bucket and a scoop, not a heavy jug that will be awkward to pour with one hand.
- You'll likely have to use teeth or another body part to open the bags, and you may need to press a knee down on the waste drawer/one side of the bag to stretch it over all the way. It's a little tricky to tie a knot in the bag with one hand, but you should be able to twist and fold/tie it with one hand.
- All of the most commonly-affected sensors are easy to access.
- Cleaning the globe can be a tiny bit tricky, because you'll need to hold the globe still while wiping it out, but you can brace it against your legs instead of holding with two arms/hands.
- The hardest part is probably taking the bonnet on and off; it takes a little finesse to get it lined up on both sides, but it's entirely doable and not much harder than finagling it with two hands.
To answer your other question, you can use any 13-gallon trash bag in the Litter-Robot, and they also sell some made specifically for it.

I just wanted to follow up with you to see if you had a chance to test out the litter robot 1 handed operation? also this is a stupid question but what kind of garbage bag does it need, a tall kitchen garbage bag?
i had an overdose on a pump in my abdomen. allthough there is no record of that and my doctors are concerned. because the baclofen overdose i had a small stroke to add to the massive stroke i had a few years ago
